Meet Our New Officers
Ed has been a member of the SIP since the Seventies. He is an avid Holy Land postal history collector. He enjoys collecting, exhibiting ,writing and speaking about topics such as early Israel postal history rates and the postal history of Rishon Le Zion.
He is a strong supporter of the SIP ,having served as a past president and vice president. He advocates that members of the SIP should be active in the society and that the IP should be a valuable source of info for the membership. Collecting Holy Land is very, very enjoyable and our society should promote collegiality among the members. Contact Ed at email@example.com.
Dr. Zachary Simmons
I'm a neurologist who works and teaches at Penn State's Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA, where my wife and I have lived for over 20 years.
I began collecting stamps, as many of of us did, during my childhood, initially concentrating on US issues. My collection lay dormant for years, but over the past 10 years I've resumed collecting, and have become increasingly interested in Israel and the Holyland, with an emphasis on Palestine. I've had the great fortune to have received mentoring from Nate Zankel, Mike Bass, Yacov Tsachor, Ed Rosen, Ze'ev Galibov, and other SIP members and Holyland dealers. I also do some editing for The Israel Philatelist, where I have been lucky enough to work with Don Chafetz. I'm now a lifetime SIP member, and hope to exhibit in the near future. I consider it a privilege to have been asked to serve on the SIP Board, and look forward to learning and to contributing. Contact Dr. Zachary Simmons at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Digital IP Archive Project
We are excited about our special digitizing project for the IP Archive Library but we NEED YOUR HELP!
Our Digital Archive Project will make this website the "go to" place for Holy Land research. Besides preserving our library of Israel Philatelist journals, they will be indexed and searchable for our Society philatelists another great benefit of membership in the SIP.
Please send a check payable to the Education Fund Archive Project to P.O. Box 507, Northfield, OH 44067 or click on this link to contribute through Paypal. Digital Archive Project
