ABOUT THE ISRAEL PHILATELIST JOURNAL

The Israel Philatelist is the official publication of the Society of Israel Philatelists. It is published 6 times a year – February, April, June, August, October and December. Each issue is approximately 40 pages (8 1/2” x 11”) and in full color on glossy pager.

The journal articles cover all areas of Holy Land philately from Forerunners to modern Israel. Included in between is coverage of the British Mandate Period, the two World Wars, the First and Second Interim periods and the recent conflicts. Coverage includes both Israeli and Arab philatelic items related to the Holy Land.

In addition there is coverage of Judaica, Holocaust and JNF areas. Normally, the April issue will feature articles related to the Holocaust

The February issue of the journal includes a complete detailed index of the previous year issues. After the annual SIP convention, the various committee reports are published so all members are kept abreast of the administration of the society and its services.

The society has numerous publications for sale and periodically new ones. There is full page devoted to listing the current publications and periodically a review of new ones.

All officers and committee chairpersons are listed with contact information. Members are encouraged to contact them with questions, comments and concerns.

Every issue includes a classified ad section where members can list for free an ad to buy, sell or request philatelic information.
