 The Johannesburg Chapter meets on the first Monday of every month in the Board Room of the Waverly Synagogue at 7:30 p.m. Programs for the rest of 2008 follow:

Our society is a small society with some 30 members of which 10-12 attend meetings. Of the 11 exhibitors from South Africa at Israel 2008, seven exhibitors were members (either home members or non-home members) of the Johannesburg chapter. The results of Members were as follows:

Frank Friedman - Large Silver for The World of Diamonds

Clive Sergay -   Entrant in THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP CLASS FOR Zululand       1879-1898

In addition, one of our Overseas Members, Dr. Leslie Glassman from Israel, was awarded a Gold for Mozambique and Mozambique Company. All in all, not a bad record for our small Society - Society of Israel Philatelists, Johannesburg.
